Warehouse Supervisor

Thrive Personnel Services are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Cross Dock Depot Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy distribution depot.

This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for managing a team of 3 warehouse colleagues and coordinating 10 drivers, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from inbound deliveries through to outbound dispatch.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within warehouse, transport or cross-dock operations, with strong leadership and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the depot.
Lead, supervise and motivate a team of 3 warehouse colleagues.
Coordinate and manage 10 drivers, ensuring efficient daily operations and timely departures.
Organise the unloading, checking, sorting and reloading of inbound and outbound goods.
Ensure customer orders are checked and dispatched accurately.
Monitor stock accuracy and investigate discrepancies or damaged goods.
Ensure goods are handled correctly to minimise damage.
Coordinate vehicle loading and ensure loads are secure and ready for delivery.
Liaise with drivers to resolve delivery and operational issues.
Maintain high standards of health and safety throughout the depot.
Monitor operational performance and report on key performance indicators.
Ensure the depot remains organised, clean and operationally efficient.
Essential Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse, transport or cross-dock supervisory/management position.
IOSH Managing Safely qualification – essential.
CPC qualification – essential.
Experience managing drivers and warehouse teams.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage workloads and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of health and safety.
Confident using basic IT and operational systems.
Salary & Benefits

£40,000 per annum.
Monday to Friday working.
Day shifts, 6.00am – 2.30pm, with flexibility required.
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
Attendance bonus.
Company discretionary bonus.

Rate of Pay

£35,000.00 – £40,000.00 per year
