Furniture Assembler/Bench Hand Joiner

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Furniture Assembler/Bench Hand Joiner to join our client’s growing production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of joinery/assembly tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as the ability to work with various materials.

Duties
• Assemble wooden structures, including frames, doors, windows, and furniture.
• Perform joinery/assembly tasks with precision and an eye for detail.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
• Be able to follow and read detailed drawings.
• Engage in finishing tasks to enhance the appearance of completed projects.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements
• Proven experience in joinery or a related field is essential.
• Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to perform some physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality finishes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

This role is to work shift hours 8am – 4pm
Job Type: Full-time – temporary to permanent
Pay: £13.00 – 14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
